There were many times that I saw apple cider vinegar at my aunt’s house. She would always say, “baby this is the cure for everything. Always keep some of this in your house. It will cure a cold, a bite, and keep your joints moving.” At the time, it was a brown substance that had a horrible smell and taste. Fast forward to now, ACV is my go to remedy and it is also included in my diet and beauty regime.
There are so many benefits that Apple Cider Vinegar offers. If you have never tried it or want to revisit this miracle tonic, here are some of the health and beauty benefits.
Studies have shown that ACV can lower both cholesterol and triglyceride levels. Due to the antioxidant properties ACV is known to protect LDL cholesterol particles from becoming oxidized. This helps the reduction of hardened arteries which in turn can protect against heart attack and stroke.
If you are consistently bloated, ACV can help. A remedy my aunt taught me, add 1 teaspoon of honey and 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar to a glass of warm water and drink it. If you are feeling bloated and uncomfortable after eating try this drink. You can also drink it 30 min before eating if you know you are going to eat some foods that you will regret later.
Thanks to the potassium and amino acids ACV will help reduce fatigue. A tablespoon in your water will do the trick.
I personally use ACV as a toner. It is amazing for the skin. It is known to exfoliate, tighten skin, minimize pores, and balance PH. It gives your skin a natural glow.
With the PH levels and the anti-fungal properties, your dandruff will reduce. Spray on your scalp before washing or add a drop in your shampoo. ACV is also known to leave hair shiny and moisturized.
