The movement to encourage the love of literacy in children is going strong. The Michigan based organization Literacy Come to Life has launched its 2016 Reading Challenge. This is an initiative to get children excited about literacy through educational, innovative, and fun techniques.
The organization also has FREE resources for children and families to help get children motivated about reading and learning. You can receive these materials when you join the mailing list.
The contest launched last week. Here are the rules for this week.
More about Literacy Comes to Life
Literacy Come to Life is a Detroit based social education program that uses children’s books to help children fall in love with learning through literacy. The program’s primary goal is to give children who typically do not succeed in traditional classrooms a chance to experience success with education. We focus on creating lifelong learners by removing barriers that disengage them from the learning process. The program uses children’s books and the characters to design fun activities for the children to have a hands-on innovative educational experience.
The fine print for the contest
The Reading Challenge will be conducted on our Facebook and Instagram pages. Participants will have an opportunity to win autographed copies of the books that we use for our summer camp and after school program. 3 participants will be chosen for each platform.
