It was a weekend that will stay in our heart and souls for a long time. Oprah and her team landed in Detroit last Friday and Saturday for the “Oprah’s The Life You Want Weekend.” This was beyond a live tour and event. This was an experience that changed many lives and created wonderful memories that will last a lifetime.
The Palace of Auburn Hills turned into O-Town throughout the weekend. Visitors had the opportunity to take pictures with a life size Oprah, hang out at the Ikea tent to get home ideas, feel refreshed in the beauty tent, and listen to music. Leaving O-Town, inside the Palace of Auburn Hills is where the internal transformation began.
As visitors found their seats there was a high vibrational energy that magnified beyond 1000% with a calm and peaceful vibe. There were many shared hugs from strangers quickly becoming friends, assignments from Ms. O herself, meditation, and speakers that shared messages that was equivalent to a symphonic melody that was composed specifically to speak to your soul. Sitting in the arena you could feel the shift taking place. We were blessed to hear the wisdom of Mark Nepo, Elizabeth Gilbert, Rob Bell, and Iyanla Vanzant. You can’t get any better than that. It is not often that we can get so much wisdom and genius in one room.
Attendees were schooled on messages about life, the speakers personal stories, recreating your story and pushing yourself out of your comfort zone to create a life of love, purpose, peaceful function, and happiness. There were many take always that you can apply instantly without overwhelm. From O-Town to the speeches, classes led by Oprah, the awesome Soul Cycle exercise class with Angela Davis and so much more, it was an honor to attend and be at this historical experience. If you want the join the “self-empowerment” party, visit Oprah’s The Life You Want Weekend. Next stops are DC, New Newark, Texas, Miami, Seattle, and San Jose.
