As we shift from one season to the next it is time to do some reflecting and ask yourself is there something you need to release in order to move forward to your greatest self? For me the answer is yes. If the answer is the same for you then let’s get to work and make it happen together.
1. Identify – Is there something or someone that is bringing out the worst in you. If so ask for some guidance on where it is stemming from and then correct it. Next, create a plan to release it out of your life or keep it, or said person, at a healthy distance.
2. Understand the lesson – Every situation has a lesson. I’ve had the lesson of a lifetime this year and the same situation repeated itself in different faces until I stopped pointing fingers and asked what do I need to learn about myself. As crazy as the chaos was it was one of my greatest and life transforming shifts that I’ve experienced. I am so grateful for the growth and experience.
3. Write – Do some free writing about the things that are not working in your life. Then write down some ways that will help you shift out of the block. Talk to someone you trust and ask for insight. Understand, advice comes from that individuals point of reference so perspective is great, but in my experience prayer and meditation always gives me the answer I need. Do what works for you.
It is a bit scary to let go of what is considered a comfortable base. With growth comes an uncomfortable state of existence so we can see what we are really made of. Now, go get uncomfortable enough to surprise yourself.
