In Her Shoes Blog Presents Beauties & Brains Behind the Brands
When it comes to PR and engagement marketing, Renae Bluitt is beyond a specialist. With 13 years in the industry, she has worked at some of the top organizations such as Lifetime, Edelman Worldwide and Burrell just to name a few. In 2007 she shifted her journey and wanted to pursue other options. “I decided to follow my entrepreneurial dreams and launch my own PR consultancy, Crush Media with beauty as my specialty,” she says. This led her to work with companies such as EDEN BodyWorks, Anu Essentials, Karen’s Body Beautiful, Cantu Shea Butter, African Pride, Elasta QP, and Polish Bar of Brooklyn. As an entrepreneur pursuing her dreams, Bluitt wanted to create an outlet to help other women do the same. In January 2009, she launched InHerShoesBlog.com. “This is a vehicle for women in business to share their stories and encourage fly female entrepreneurs as well as those who want to walk in their shoes.”
Bluitt is bringing her blog live with her event Beauties and Brains Behind the Brands on Wednesday, December 5, 2012. “Beautypreneurs have come a long way since the days of Madame CJ Walker. Americas first self-made female millionaire of any race,” Bluitt explains. This event will “shine light on the new generation of women leaving their marks in the business.” Bluitt will sit down with “several of the most successful visionaries of being a beauty boss,” she says excitedly. The intent of the event is to have women walk away knowing that they too can make a sustainable career out of the things that brings them the most joy. It’s never too late to do what you love and love what you do!”
