Posted on September 6, 2011 by in Inspiration

To continue Self-Improvement Empowerment Month, I encourage each of you to believe in yourself and your dreams. We must learn to get out of our own way to create the life we always wanted. Everyone has dreams. But there are those who work diligently towards making those dreams come true, and there are those who sit and wonder why they can’t make a move toward the life that they want to live. Granted there are road blocks on the path to success—time, the job you are working to pay the bills, environment, the company we keep, or simply ourselves. Can you believe that that many times we create our OWN obstacles?  Well it’s time to say, “NO MORE!”. The following tips will help you get out of your own way and jump-start the life you always wanted to live.

Write it Down
When it comes to your dreams that you want to accomplish it is important that you write them down. Start with the dream and them create both long term and short term goals that you want to accomplish. If you are not sure about the process, do some research or find someone who has the expertise and set up a meeting.

Pray (or Meditate)
We all need guidance, it is essential to take the time to get centered and quiet and ask for direction as well as the path that will help you utilizes your gifts and talents.

Change Your Thoughts
Negative talk will become a reality. Practice positive thinking and visualization.

 Plan
When you write down your goals, create a list for both long term and short term goals. From there look at your schedule and create a time slot when you are going to get to work.

Stay Accountable
How do you feel when someone breaks a promise? Well each day you put off your dream, it is like breaking a promise to yourself. Staying accountable not only will help in all aspects of your life, but it will help you get the life you always wanted.

Peace and Blessings,

Yvelette
